SUBMISSIONS

ALL submissions must be made online via EDAS.

PAPER SPECIFICATIONS

MANDATORY: USE IEEE PDF EXPRESS to ensure your PDF is Xplore compliant.
Use our Style Manual (use A4 format in latex or word) to meet formatting requirements below. Your paper must comply with the following specifications:

  • PDF file MUST be IEEE Xplore compliant
  • Paper Length
    • WIP: A maximum of is 3 pages without exceptions
    • Short Papers: A maximum of 5 pages without exceptions
    • Full Papers: A maximum of 10 pages without exceptions

Note: Deviations from the above paper specifications could result in removal of your accepted paper from the proceedings.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

If your paper is accepted for publication at this conference, you will also need to adhere to the following requirements:

  • IEEE policy requires you to file a copyright release for each accepted submission. Without a copyright release on file, your paper CANNOT be published.
  • Note: for an accepted paper to be presented and, following presentation, be included in the proceedings/IEEE Xplore at least one author must be registered. 
  • Each paper must be covered by a full IEEE member, IEEE Education Society Member or Non-Member registration fee.
  • Student and IEEE Life Member Registration fees do not cover paper publication.

Generate an IEEE Xplore-compatible manuscript using PDF eXpress

All final manuscripts must be generated using the PDF Xpress tool.

To generate the IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF file of your paper, follow these steps:

  • Create your IEEE PDF eXpress account: https://ieee-pdf-express.org/
  • Conference ID: 54358X
  • The first time you access the system, please follow the link to new user. Please note that in order to access the service, you need to allow the use of cookies from the PDF eXpress web site. Once you have registered as a new user, upload the source file (containing your paper) for conversion.
  • Receive by e-mail the IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF of your paper.

**High-quality papers that are accepted and presented will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore digital library and indexed by EI/Compendex.

IEEE reserves the right to exclude any accepted paper from distribution after the conference (including, removal from IEEE Xplore) if the accepted paper is not presented at the conference.

Presentation Instructions

The duration of a presentation slot is 15 minutes. You will have 12 minutes for the presentation itself and 3 minutes for questions from the audience.

A LCD projector & computer (Windows 7, MS Powerpoint & Adobe Acrobat Reader) will be available in every session room for regular presentations.

Preparation of Visuals:

  • PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU MUST BRING BRING A MEMORY STICK CONTAINING YOUR PRESENTATION FILE.
  • Files can be uploaded to the local PCs in the lecture rooms during the daily speaker breakfast, the coffee breaks or at lunch.
  • To avoid software compatibility problems (MS Powerpoint), speakers are advised to EMBED ALL FONTS in your Powerpoint file AND bring a backup PDF-version of your presentation.
  • Speakers should arrive in their session room 15 minutes BEFORE the start of your session to report to the session chair. A proctor will also be available in case you need technical assistance.

General Considerations:

  • Limit the number of words per visual to no more than 20.
  • Leave space, at least the height of a capital letter, between lines of text.
  • All fonts, including that on graphs, should be 18 point or larger.
  • Graphs and charts should have bold lines and symbols that contrast sharply with the background.
